Not yet the berry season but probably you still have some berries left in your freezer, and if not there're healthy mixes available at stores. I've been buying frozen forest fruit packages at Lidl. There's no added sugar, just pure berries. 

If I know that my morning will be busy, I prepare my breakfast smoothie already the night before. Pour it into a glass, cover it with cling wrap and put it in fridge - makes the morning hassle free.

My Berry Smoothie with Egoboost powder

1 banana

fresh ginger (app. 2 cm/1 inch)

frozen berry mix (as much as you like!)

1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

2 tbsp Egoboost inner beauty powder

Coconut milk

fresh raspberries & mint leaves

Put all ingredients to a blender for about 30 seconds until you got a nice & smooth consistancy.

Do You Need Some Egoboost?

This is a real Cinderella serum! Egoboost by Supermood has 2 unbelievably fabulous beauty serums - one for the upper lids and the other for the whole face. As mentioned these are Cinderella serums so the effect lasts for some hours. Sounds like perfect products to use when ever a bit of lifting is needed.

Just warm up a couple of drops of the "Eyes wide open" serum in between your fingers and tap it on your upper lid towards your brows and also between the brows. Don't apply it under your eyes.

Do the same with the facelift serum - 2 or 3 drops should be enough - and tap it  with upward strokes. I usually wait for a few minutes before I apply my normal day cream and eye contour cream on the top of these serums.

Egoboost serums give a fresh look and tighten up the skin. They sort of give a tight cling wrap to your face. Sounds funny but looks good!

Why To Use Facial Oil?

This is definitely the time of the year when my skin needs that extra dose of nutrition to stay smooth. The right diet is essential but so are the right skincare products as well. Facial oils are my favourites. They are real winter skin savers!

Why to use facial oil?

Oil goes into deeper layers of skin than creams and acts as a prime carrier to deliver other active ingredients. So applying a face oil before your fave moisturizing cream it lets ingredients absorb more deeply for even better effects. That is something you can feel immediately the next morning.

I apply a couple of oil drops under my night cream. The skin absorbs the oil, but not straight away. As the oil plumps the skin up and protects from water loss the skin looks nice and smooths when I wake up. 

There are plenty of options on the market and I'm sure everyone can find there their own favourite facial oil. I have picked up my fave oils which I will introduce to you. The first one is Radiance Oil from Supermood's Youth Glo collection. 

Supermood is holistic beauty brand from Finland. The ingredients are from the pure Finnish nature. In this oil there are rose hip and lingonberry seed oil. It is said to rejuvenate and nourish the skin and that's what it does. 2 drops are enough for the whole face and 1 drop for neck. 

This Youth Glo oil has a pleasant mild fresh scent, which is a great plus. To be honest I don't why any reason why I wouldn't buy another bottle when this is finished.

Mitä varten kannattaa käyttää kasvoöljyä?

Öljy menee paljon syvemmälle ihoon kuin voide ja pystyy kuljettamaan mukanaan muita ainesosia. Näin ollen kasvoöljyn sively nassulle ennen kosteusvoidetta edesauttaa sen imeytymistä syvemmälle ja parantamaan voiten vaikutusta. Tämä on sellaista jonka huomaa kyllä välittömästi seuraavana aamuna.

Mä lisään muutaman tipan öljyä yövoiteen alle. Öljy imeytyy ihoon, tosin ei ihan välittömästi. Koska öljyllä on 'pullistava' vaikutus ja se myös suojelee kosteuden haihtumista, näyttää iho aamulla heti paremmalta ja tuntuu pehmeältä.

Egoboost Serum & Day Cream

(EN)I guess there are days when we wake up in the morning feeling really tired and crappy. It's kind of ok if you can still continue sleeping but if you need to get up and look good & fresh, you will need some help to make it happen. Finnish holistic beauty brand Supermood has an excellent product line called Egoboost, and that's what it is - boosting your ego. Earlier I have introduced the cleansing foams of Egoboost and now it's time to check the other beauty products what they have in Egoboost line.

In the mornings after toning my skin with Egoboost Pure Micellar Foam Toner I have been applying Moisture Kick Serum. This serum has Finnish chaga in it (psst. if you don't know what chaga is, you can check it here!). The other ingredients are such as argan oil & jojoba poil. This effective serum is a real moisture kick and can be used alone or mixed with other Egoboost products. I have applied my daily CC cream on it. The texture is light and gives immediately a soft, moisturized and a bit tightening skin. I use this serum every day, no matter if I have or haven't slept well. 

Those days when I don't wear CC cream I have applied Egoboost The Perfect Day Cream with menthol extract. It really wakes me up! The fragrance is mild so it's absolutely not too strong. The texture is light and absorbs quickly and works well with foundation. It's so refreshing!

Foam Toner By Supermood

(EN) I think that we all know how important it is to cleanse face every day. That's the basic rule in skincare. I like to use foam to wash my face. Somehow I feel I can get my face cleaner with foam especially when used together with Clarisonic's Aria brush. It never came to my mind that there could be a foam toner as well. Supermood has in their Egoboost collection a micellar foam toner. I just love that prodoct! 

First I wash my face with a foam wash. As I prefer everything organic and natural I have chosen Egoboost Gentle Foam Wash by Supermood to cleanse my skin. The foam is with natural chaga and the texture is light yet rich and creamy. I apply a small amount of it on to my face, massage with Clarisonic's Aria brush or konjac sponge - which is btw super natural -  and rinse off with warm water. This foam is very gentle yet effective.

After that I take a little dip of Egoboost Pure Micellar Foam Toner and spread it all over my face and wipe it with a cotton pad. This toner makes it sure that all traces of make-up is removed and the skin is perfectly clean.

Now my skin is ready for moisturizer.

Levitän sen kasvoille ja hieron Clarisonin harjalla tai konjac-sienellä - joka muuten on täysin luonnontuote - ja lopuksi huuhtelen lämpimällä vedellä. Vaahto on hellävarainen mutta tehokas.

Tämän jälkeen otan pienen määrän Egoboostin Pure Micellar Foam Toner'a, levitän sen kasvoille ja pyyhin vanulapulla pois. Näin varmistan, että kaikki meikin jäänteet ovat varmasti lähteneet ja iho on täydellisen puhdas.  

Nyt iho on valmis kosteustuotteille.

Chaga is a fungus that grows on the bark of arctic trees, namely on birch. It contains vast amounts of antioxidants and has been used as a folk remedy for centuries to rejuvenate skin and even out skin pigments.

Pakurikääpä on sieni, joka kasvaa arktisten puiden kuten koivun kaarnassa. Pakurikääpä sisältää suuren määrän antioksidantteja ja sitä on käytetty luontais- ja kansanlääkinnässä vuosisatoja. Sillä on nuorentava vaikutus ihoon ja se myös tasoittaa ihon pigmenttiä.

(EN) Both products have a mild scent which is not extremely fresh but somehow very natural and in fact suits well to the holistic products. A negative point is that with one press you get too much foam - or is it just me who always press it too long and have more than a size of a plum?

(FI) Molemmissa tuotteissa on mieto tuoksu, joka ei ole kovin raikas vaan jotenkin sellainen luonnollinen ja itse asiassa sopii varsin hyvin holistisiin tuotteisiin. Negatiivisena pointtina voisin sanoa sen, että ehdellä painalluksina tuotetta tulee vähän liikaa. Voi tietysti olla että se johtuu siitä, että painan liian kauan ja vaahtoa tulee enemmän kuin tarpeeksi.

Raw Chocolate With Collagen

(EN) Everyone knows I'm a chocoholic. (pssst. if you didn't know that, check this!) So I believe you can imagine how happy I became when I found Beauty Chocolate! Yes, that's true - it does exist! Egoboost Beauty Chocolate has collagen in it. The chocolate is made of cocoa beans, palm sugar, cocoa butter and fish collagen. It's made in Finland by holistic natural beauty company called Supermood.

Why collagen?

Miksi kollageeni?

Kollageeni on proteiini, joka kosteuttaa, kiinteyttää ja rakentaa ihoa. Kehon oma kollageenin tuotanto vähenee iän myötä. Myös nykyinen stressaava elämäntapa sekä huono ruokavaliovoivat laskea kehon kykyä tuottaa kollageenia. 

Vaikka kollageeni on tarpeellinen koko elimistölle, näkyvät sen edut sekä puute selvemmin ihossa. Tämä johtuu siitä kun ihminen vanhenee, ihon pintakerros (epidermis) ohenee ja menettää kimmoisuutensa.  Tämä puolestaan lisää ikääntymisen merkkejä ja ryppyjä.

Hyvä uutinen on se, että tällaiset muutokset eivät välttämättä ole pysyviä. Lisäämällä ravintoon kollageenia, kehon oma kollageenin valmistus paranee ja rypyt pienenevät.

(FI) Pakkausen koko (50g) on just sopiva - ei liian pieni eikä iso. Olen tottunut vetämään kerralla 200g suklaata, mutta raaka-suklaassa   pienempi annos on ihanteellinen.
