Foam Toner By Supermood

Monday, October 31, 2016

(EN) I think that we all know how important it is to cleanse face every day. That's the basic rule in skincare. I like to use foam to wash my face. Somehow I feel I can get my face cleaner with foam especially when used together with Clarisonic's Aria brush. It never came to my mind that there could be a foam toner as well. Supermood has in their Egoboost collection a micellar foam toner. I just love that prodoct!

First I wash my face with a foam wash. As I prefer everything organic and natural I have chosen Egoboost Gentle Foam Wash by Supermood to cleanse my skin. The foam is with natural chaga and the texture is light yet rich and creamy. I apply a small amount of it on to my face, massage with Clarisonic's Aria brush or konjac sponge - which is btw super natural -  and rinse off with warm water. This foam is very gentle yet effective.

After that I take a little dip of Egoboost Pure Micellar Foam Toner and spread it all over my face and wipe it with a cotton pad. This toner makes it sure that all traces of make-up is removed and the skin is perfectly clean.
Now my skin is ready for moisturizer.

Supermoodilla on heidän Egoboost-sarjassa vaahtomuodossa oleva misellivesi. Aivan ihana tuote!

Ekaksi annan kasvoilleni vaahtopesun.

(EN) What is chaga?

Chaga is a fungus that grows on the bark of arctic trees, namely on birch. It contains vast amounts of antioxidants and has been used as a folk remedy for centuries to rejuvenate skin and even out skin pigments.

(FI) Mikä on pakurikääpä?

(EN) Both products have a mild scent which is not extremely fresh but somehow very natural and in fact suits well to the holistic products. A negative point is that with one press you get too much foam - or is it just me who always press it too long and have more than a size of a plum?

Review: Micellar Cleansing Fluid 3in1 by Eucerin

Tuesday, August 9, 2016

I've been using nowadays micellar waters for cleansing my face both am & pm, and my latest find has been Eucerin's DermatoClean Micellar Cleansing fluid 3 in 1. The package is very simple transparent plastic bottle with a screw-on cap, so nothing fancy. It is said to cleanse make-up, not a water-resistance one, but I rather use it when I'm not wearing make up as I feel it's not enough to cleanse the skin properly. That's probably because I'm so used to foams and brushes.

After cleansing my face from make-up with a cleansing foam I wipe it with micellar water to make sure the skin is free from traces of make-up.

The texture is like water - light & pure - and it leaves the skin comfortable and healthy, not drying the skin at all. It cleanses and tones the skin and is suitable for sensitive skin as well. My skin gets red and a bit irritated easily but this one is mild yet effective.

In my country Eucerin's Micellar water - as well as all Eucerin products - is sold in the pharmacies which also gives it a kind of more reliable feeling. eucerin products are fragrance free and that's something I find a bit not-so-nice as I love fresh scents in cosmetics.

I still have more than half left of Eucerin's micellar fluid but so far I've been very happy.

What product do you use for cleansing your face?

Konjac Sponge

Sunday, July 12, 2015

Have been reading about this Konjac Sponge, and now finally had a chance to get one for myself. It's a 100% natural cleansing sponge for face. It deep cleanses, exfoliates and detoxifies skin for a radiant complexion, and it's getle enough for sensitive skins.

Before use, rinse and hydrate the sponge in luke warm water for 3-5 minutes. Squeeze out gently any excess water. Cleanse face with it. It's not necessary to use cleansing products, but a small amount can be added.

The sponge stays useable for app. 2-3 months. It's easy to hang on a hook or something to let it dry after using.

The konjac root has been a part of Japanese beauty rituals for over 1 500 years. The konjac root from Jeju Island is the puriest in the world. The island is one of the least polluted enviroments on earth, the water of Jeju Island is known as the purest in the world.

I've been using my Clarisonic to cleanse my skind for some years now, but this sponge feels quite effective!

Btw, this green sponge has a bit of Aloe in it, so it's recommended especially for dry and sensitive skin.

In Finland you can find this sponge at Hyvän Olon Maailma.
