It's called Verona. 

The light yellow, creamy tulips are absolutely perfect for Easter. They remind me of lemon sorbet. The scent differs from other tulip varieties - these yellow beauties have a smell combo of magical honey and lemon.

Vaalean keltaiset, kermansävyiset tulppaanit ovat niin oikeat just pääsiäiskukiksi. Jotenkin ne tuovat mieleen sitruunasorbetin. Niiden tuoksu poikkeaa muista tulppaanilajikkeista. Näissä selvästi tuoksuu maaginen hunajan ja sitruunan yhdistelmä.

Student Flat With A Splash Of Yellow

 This is one of the three bedrooms of a flat in the middle of Budapest. The flat is renovated for rental purposes. The ideal tenants would be three students studying in the neighbouring university. All these bedrooms are very simply furbished having a double bed, a desk and a wardrobe - meaning the rooms are move in ready but new tenants can make their own adjustments and bring personal items to make it cosy.  

Once again I kept the walls white and everything else very neutral. In this room I added some bright yellow. There're also a green and a blue bedroom - will show them to you soon.

Sneak Peek To A Bathroom

 Here's a sneak peek to the downstairs bathroom of the house at Lake Balaton, which has been my main project for some time now.

This space used to be the kitchen of the house, but after a total reno it's now turn to the second bathroom. 

Wanted to keep the colours as neutral as possible and not putting tiles everywhere. At the moment the accent colour is sunny yellow as the owner like bright warm tones, but it's easy to change the mood of the bathroom with different colours of towels and accessories.     

Save some of the original retro tiles from the previous bathroom and made an installation from them.

Shades Of Yellow

At the moment there are so many shades of yellow out there. Here're some of the hues that I explored today while walking in Budapest. Blooming branches are my favourites. Found some cute animals as well :)

New Cushions

Even though I'm not a huge fan of yellow, I wanted to have a splash of it at my home. I don't know why - it was just a feeling. Made some new cushions wih a hint of paleish hues of yellow together with my longtime favourite colour grey.

Recently I have done those crochet "grandma" squares so many that mostly likely you'll be seeing more cushions made of them very soon...

Viime aikoina on tullut virkattua läjä päin "mummon" neliöitä, joten mitä todennäköisimmin lisää tyynyjä on tulossa tänne blogiinkin...

Well, well, well...

 Usually I just take snapshots, loads of them, and quite easily I can find one or two pretty nice ones. But now I wanted to concentrate and take a still photos of a setting that I created…All of them awful! Not just the display but none of the pics turn out to be even close to a good one… I used different shutter speeds, different apertures, zooming from different distances etc etc. Now I know that it really takes something to be a good photographer, and a stylish, too.

Tavallisesti napsin paljon kuvia ja tarvittaessa niistä löytyy yleensä yksi tai kaksi ihan toimivaa. No, nyt halusin tehdä asetelma ja ottaa siitä kivoja kuvia. Lopputulos: kaikki aivan kauheita! Ei pelkästään tämä tekemäni asetelma vaan myös kaikki ottamani kuvat. Säädin aukkoja ja valoitusta, zoomasin läheltä ja kaukaa jne jne. nytpähän ainakin tiedän ettei hyväksi valokuvaajaksi tulla hetkessä, eikä muuten stailistiksikaan.

Friday Flowers

 Daffodils are already blooming here! At least on my window sill… Not a fan of yellow but they give a bit of sun shine to the kitchen, and look so fresh after xmas.

Narsissit kukkivat jo täällä! Ainakin ikkunalaudallani… En ole erityisesti keltaisen ystävä, mutta antavat kivasti aurinkoista väriä keittiöön ja näyttävät raikkailta joulun jälkeen.

Mellow Yellow

 Bought some new fitness tops at Lululemon.

No excuses anymore to avoid doing some sports. 

 I have never liked yellow, but now this Power Up Tank

 is my favourite one.

Pump It Up Tank in bright orange and dark blue has a loose-fitting and bra with adjustable straps to fine-tune the fit.

Feels good on but not really my colour.
