Tap Tap

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Tap Tap is a famous & popular Haitian restaurant
on 5th Street at South Beach.
It looks a bit, well, dodgy, but the food is excellent.
Murals on the wall.
 Starter:
Salad Zaboka Ak Tomato
- avocado & tomato salad with house dressing
Very nice! Lots of herbs in the dressing.

Main course:
Kribish Kokoye
- shrimp in coconut sauce
Diri Kole
- mixed rice & beans
Banann Peze
- fried plantains
The coconut sauce was so lovely and rich with a spicy flavour.

Everything was so fresh and clear. Loved it!
So colourful!
(If you like goat, you can have it here!).
It took 15 mins to make the coffee...
Extremely strong!

Basic Breakfast

Monday, February 25, 2013

One of my favourite breakfast places at South Beach is the legendary News Cafe on Ocean Drive.
Besides the good variety of breakfast options.
it's a marvellous place for people watching.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but...
I drink several cups of tea every day.

I love to make my morning smoothies.
Soya milk based smoothies are my favourites.
Soya milk, banana, dried goji berries, mango, flex seeds.
Yummy!

Breakfast (literally meaning to break the fasting period of the prior night)is the first meal taken after rising from a night's sleep, most often eaten in the early morning before undertaking the day's work.

Mellow Yellow

Friday, February 22, 2013

Bought some new fitness tops at Lululemon.
No excuses anymore to avoid doing some sports.
I have never liked yellow, but now this Power Up Tank
 is my favourite one.
No limits Tank in black with floral bra capture the freeing feeling of practising in a bra with the coverage of a tank.
Love it!
Pump It Up Tank in bright orange and dark blue has a loose-fitting and bra with adjustable straps to fine-tune the fit.
Feels good on but not really my colour.

I'm a big fan of Lululemon wear!

Floral Delight

Thursday, February 21, 2013

My weekly flowers.
Actually bought 3 bouquets if these lovely flowers
(no idea of their name!)
already last week on Monday when arrived back from the cruise
and they are still gorgeous!
Just have been adding some water for them as they seem to be pretty thirsty and eager to grow.

Piles of interior magazines are not the only magazines
I've been buying lately.

The March issues have been read already!

Rainy Day?

Friday, February 15, 2013

 Life at South Beach.
 Ocean Drive.
It was supposed to be a rainy day on Thursday, but...
...not so many clouds in the sky of SoBe.
The humidity of the air was super high though.
Well, we did get 2 quick showers,
which both lasted around 30 seconds.

You know you're a Floridian if
you never use an umbrella because the rain will be
over in 5 minutes.

(It did rain almost all night, but who needs an umbrella at night.)

Btw, it's Miami Boat Show this weekend.

There's Xmas going on in Bayside.

Sequins

Friday, February 8, 2013

Sequins on my new Victoria's Secret bikinis!

Victoria's Secret
745 Collins Avenue
Miami Beach

i've been looking for these sequin ones too,
but not yet found the right size in stores.

Coastal Look

Wednesday, February 6, 2013

 Flowers make a huge different!
Went to Whole Foods and bought some white lilies, white roses and  apple green chrysanthemums.
The fresh flowers are uplifting the minimalist style,
aren't they?

No more colours needed.

Beach Day

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Saturday was the first beach day for me.
(the beach was pretty crowded as it's weekend,
but managed to avoid having people in the pic!)
 Beach reading.

Plain omelet, slice of whole grain bread and fruit salad.
Before going to the beach had breakfast
at News cafe on Ocean Drive.
