Sneak Peek To A Bathroom

Sunday, May 15, 2016

Here's a sneak peek to the downstairs bathroom of the house at Lake Balaton, which has been my main project for some time now.
This space used to be the kitchen of the house, but after a total reno it's now turn to the second bathroom.
Wanted to keep the colours as neutral as possible and not putting tiles everywhere. At the moment the accent colour is sunny yellow as the owner like bright warm tones, but it's easy to change the mood of the bathroom with different colours of towels and accessories.

Save some of the original retro tiles from the previous bathroom and made an installation from them.

Bathroom (project part 6/7)

Monday, January 26, 2015

The bathroom was in a good shape, only needed some organizing and more storage space.
Wanted to make it more elegant and added some white items to give a fresh look and added also some black, mainly textiles, to sharpen the space up.

Before
Very full as you can see!

Bought a new white shower curtain (HM Home), black rug (Ikea) and laundry basket (HM Home), bottles (Clas Ohlson), mirrored cabinet with lights + extra light on top of it (Ikea). A custom made cabinet/table for the washing mashine - helps to hide it a bit and gives storage space on top.

Before

On the opposite wall where another mirrored cabinet was placed, replaced that cabinet with 2 tall cabinets - one with a mirror door, the other one with a simple white door. In the picture there's that new tall cabinet with mirror reflecting the washing machine. Those cabinets are from Ikea. Placed some new hooks on the wall for towels. The black towels are from HM Home.

Before
This cabinet was replaced by 2 tall cabinets. All the cleaning and washing stuff have now place in these cabinets.

After

Ceiling and walls were painted in white.

Alabaster

 Did some online shopping, again...
 Nicely packed.
A tooth brush holder by Mette Ditmer.
 Made of poly resin/stonemix.

Place for 4 electric tooth brushes.

Design, quality and concept - are the key words in the Danish Mette Ditmer programme.

A part of Alabaster bathroom accessory collection.
 Fits well in our bathroom.

New Dress

Thursday, January 19, 2012

Yeah, new dress but not for me.

 Yesterday red, today deep lilac.
It was difficult to find a flower in Budapest
that fits to the new colour scheme.
Blueish hyacinth was the only one.

By the way, it drinks the water in one second.

Huge fan of Crabtree & Evelyn's hand creams and lotions.
The scent of this Iris one is so gorgeous.
The deep lilac hand towels are from Coin.

Powder Room In Red

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

This is how my little powder room is dressed at the moment.
Black and white is so convenient combination,
easy to add some colour to it.
One red lily makes a big difference.
