Lauantaibrunssi Konyhassa Budapestissa

Tarkoitus oli alunperin mennä ihan toiseen paikkaan, mutta paikka avautuikin vasta puolilta päivin ja olimme liikkeellä aamupäivällä. Onneksi lähettyvillä Kiraly utcan tuntumassa on paikkoja, joista valita. Päädyimme itselleni uuteen paikkaan Konyhaan (suomeksi keittiö), jonka yläkerrassa on muuten Planta-kukkakauppa.

Konyha oli lähes täynnä, mutta onnistuimme saamaan juuri sopivan pöydän. Paikan ruokalista ei ole kovin pitkä - mikä on ihan hyvä asia - mutta sieltä löytyy vaikka mitä herkkuja. Luonnonjogurttia marjoilla, hedelmillä ja chia-siemenillä tai granolalla sekä puuroa marjoilla - ja näistä myös vegaaniversiot. 

Niin ja ne bagelit! Varmasti kaupungin parhaimmat lohibagelit.

En juo kahvia, mutta kuulema Konyhan kahvi voitti Nespresson mennen tullen. Pienennä miinuksena se, ettei tarjolla ollut vihreää teetä, mutta suuri plussa siitä ,että musta tee oli Zhao Zhoulta - Budapestin ehdoton ykkönen mitä tulee teehen.

Porukkaa tuli ja meni. Sopiva sekoitus paikallisia ja ulkomaalaisia. Niin kuin lähes aina näillä hoodeilla. Mukava ilmapiiri, hyvä palvelu. Meillä meni kolme tuntia ihan huomaamatta.

Ihan heti en tosin tajunnut miksi ikkunaan oli parkkeerattu prätkä muuten niin vihreään kahvilaan, mutta sitten selvisi, että pyörät ovat tiskin takana ja tarjoilijanakin toimivat omistajan intohimo. Joten olkoon sitten siinä.

ps. gluteenittomat brownit ihan mielettömän hyviä!

Such a great place for breakfast/brunch or just for a cup of coffee with a gluten free brownie. Have to say the bagels are the best in town!

Fleuriste

If you happen to be in Helsinki on a Saturday morning, book a table at  Fleuriste for Saturday brunch. Charming small place with delicious brunch, which includes juice, coffee/tea, yoghurt with berries & granola and a plate with slices of cheese, Spanish omelet, bresaola, grapes, plum jam and bread - also glutein-free! And a slice of cake or a muffin. The chocolate muffin is glutein-free, yummy! A piece of Paris in the middle of Helsinki ;)Nice atmosphere and the portions are just the right size.

Now it's the second day of 2012

and haven't shopped a single thing.

 The dessert buffet was pretty gorgeous,

 the food was ok,

the company was perfect

And Santa Claus had come 

all the way from Rovaniemi, Finland

to greet the guests

 Finally the cherry season is here!

- bought the first ones at Hunyadi ter market

Strawberry season is slowly fadeing away

- last Sunday had some at Marriott's brunch,

by the way the chocolate cake there is heavenly

the restaurant itself is quite boring,
dark with not so nice interior
- always make sure to get a table at atrium,
even though the gypsy band is playing there...
Actually heard by a professional musician that they play pretty well!

Easter Monday's brunch at Grand Hotel Royal

- for a change!

The Asian buffet with sushi is my favourite!

And the ice-cream is excellent

-especially the caramel one

than usually.

The location is so good by the Danube

&

the renovated terrace is perfect place to be

in a warm & sunny Sunday

No complains about the food either.

Service is a bit slow,

but today didn't have to worry about glasses being empty

- the same waiter that seems to serve us most of the times at Marriott

filled the glasses constantly

Sunday brunch

Had a Sunday brunch at Marriott once again!

This time with my parents

Almost everyone was sitting outside on the terrace

so it was a bit empty inside

miniburger with tartar steak

crostini with cheese & tomato
.

There's always a possibility to order from a special menu,

this time chose

Grilled Goose liver in Tokaj sauce

- delicious!

- had only Lime Sorbet!
