Breakfast Smoothie With Pear

Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Recently I've been a bit lazy inventing new smoothies. Just been adding what is available. Well, that's actually exactly what I've been always doing. It's good to use seasonal ingredients - berries in the summer and fruit in the autumn and winter. Now there're lots of pears in the local shops, so pear it is!

Pears are a very good source of dietary fiber and a good source of copper, vitamin C and vitamin K. Just read that pear regulates bowel movements and reduces the chances of constipation. It also protects the colon from damaging effects of free radicals.

Breakfast smoothie with pear

1 pear
1 banana
small bite (1cm) fresh ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp lucuma powder
coconut milk
crushed flax seeds

All in the blender for a couple of seconds until smooth. Super easy!

(FI) Viime aikoina olen ollut vähän laiska keksimään mitään uusia smoothie-reseptejä. Olen lähinnä vaan heittänyt sekaan mitä on sattunut löytymään. No, itseasiassa sehän in just sitä mitä aina teen. Kannattaa käyttää sesongin raaka-aineita - marjoja kesällä ja hedelmiä sitten syksyllä ja talvella. Tällä hetkellä lähikaupat ovat pullollaan päärynöitä, joten käytetään sitten sitä!

Päärynä on erinomainen ravintokuidun lähde.

1 banaani
pieni pala (1cm) ftuoretta inkivääriä
1/2 tl kurkumajauhetta
1/2 tl kanelijauhetta
1 tl lucuma-jauhetta
kookosmaitoa
pellavansiemenrouhetta

Kaikki vaan blenderiin muutamaksi sekunniksi ja smoothie on valmis. Superhelppoa!

Choose a very ripe pear!

Valitse mahdollisimman kypsä päärynä!

  4. I'm glad to see a recipe of a smoothie with pears as you don't find them that often. Even if they are the second best known autumn fruits, after apples, not many people actually use them.
