Printa Design Shop

A friend of mine recommended me to visit this interesting gallery/shop/cafe in VII district, Budapest. Printa really is all that - an art gallery with very interesting prints, a cafe serving coffee from the  famous Has Bean roaster, a shop offering eco-friendly clothes & accessories and a silkscreen print on site offering also workshops both in Hungarian & English once a month. 

/Eräs ystäväni vinkkasi minulle tästä mielenkiintoisesta galleriasta 7. kaupunginosassa  Budapestissa. Printa on paitsi galleria myös kahvila ja kauppa sekä silkkipaino. Paljon mielenkiintoisia printtejä, kahvia Has Bean -paahtimolta, ympäristöyställisistä materiaaleista tehtyjä vaatteita, laukkuja ja muuta kamaa. Paikan päällä olevassa silkkipainossa järjestetään lisäksi workshoppeja sekä unkariksi että englanniksi kerran kuussa.

Glutein free: Cauliflower Crust

I was craving for pizza the other day and found a perfect glutein free solution for that - cauliflower! The whole idea that you can take a cauliflower, rice it, cook it, mix it with egg & protein powder and spices, bake it into a pizza base is pretty amazing!

This is how I did my cauli crust:

1 small head of cauliflower 

1 egg

3,5 spoonful of protein powder

2 gloves of garlic

black pepper & sea salt

First I grated (can be done in a food processor as well)the cauliflower to look almost like rice and steamed it for about 10mins (shouldn't be too soft & juice but rather al dente). Mixed it together with the other ingredients. Lined a baking sheet with parchment paper and pressed the cauli mixture onto it in a thin pizza shape.  Baked it in an oven (200C) for 15mins so that it got some golden colour. 

Spreaded some tomato sauce, topped with cherry tomatoes and mozzarella, and baked in the oven for another 15mins. Seasoned with black pepper, sea salt and fresh basil. 

 

 Believe it or not - this is delicious!

Sound Tracker -kirja perustuu samannimiseen Yle Teemalta tulleeseen TV-sarjaan, jota esitettiin pitkin viime syksyä. Aivan mahtava sarja musiikista eri puolilla maailmaa. Itseeni teki suuren vaikutuksen Serbiaan sijoittuva jakso sekä myös Afrikka-jakso. Maailmassa on niin paljon upeaa syvältä sielusta kumpuavaa musiikkia. 

Kirja kertoo joistakin sarjassa esiintyvistä artisteista sekä valoittaa tarkemmin joitakin matkan varrella eteen tulleita tilanteita ja tuntemuksia. Kirjan taitto ja kuvat ovat hyviä ja mielenkiintoisia. 

Jos et jostain syystä ehtunyt nähdä sarjaa, osta ja lue tämä kirja. Itseasiassa kannattaa hankkia se käsiin vaikka olisi sarjan nähnytkin!

My Fiskars Tools

As it's said every human being should plant a tree, build a house and write a book during his/her life. I decided to start with planting a tree. Now I'm waiting for this avocado seed getting some roots so that I could plant it and see it grow...

Photo Gallery Called TOBE

There's a nice, small photo gallery called TOBE Gallery on Herzen utca 6 in XIII district, Budapest. Stopped by on Friday afternoon to check the photos of Austrian photographer Claudia Kraus. There're also photos from Venezuelan photographers Carla Tabora & Amalia Pereira. The name of the exhibition is "Lélekvirágok" (Soul of Flowers).

Here're some examples of Claudia Kraus' photos from her collection AGES: CHANGES, which is part of the exhibition at TOBE. I think they are unbelievable beautiful! No idea how she has made them!

Claudia Kraus lives and works as an artist in Vienna. She studied psychology and communication sciences at the University of Vienna.

Marsala

Marsala is the Pantone's colours for 2015, and probably will be a popular one. It's a beautiful shade of red in different hues. Would definitely use if as an accent colour. Goes well with other colours - neutral and stronger ones as well.

Silver Inger Pendant

This silver pendant was a birthday present last year - it's been in heavy use. Inger pendant by Finnish Kalevala Koru is very simple yet beautiful. Goes perfectly with any outfit.

Lip Balms

Winter time can be pretty harsh for skin, and especially for lips which feel dry consistently. That's why I have lip balms all over the house,  and never leave home without one in my handbag.

And, of course, Vaseline and Vitalis are the traditional remedies that always work! I am  always relying on them to soothe scaly lips. Vaseline's limited edition Pink Bubbly has a lovely delicate scent of roses.

Seaside Blues

it looks pretty grey at the moment but summer will be here soon... that's what I want to believe... Meanwhile I checked Zara Home's collection which is full of lovely ocean blue items.

Tällä hetkellä ulkona näyttää ikävän harmaalta, mutta ihan kohta kesä on täällä...ainakin haluan uskoa niin... Kesää odotellessa selailin Zara Homen uutta tarjontaa, joka on täynnä ihastuttavaa meren sinistä.
