'Scapes At Ph21 Gallery

Friday, April 7, 2017

Last night there was the opening party of 'Scapes photo exhibition at Ph21 Gallery in Budapest. For me it was a very significant event as one of my photos is exhibited there now - super happy & excited about it!

It's a group exhibition with a scapes theme. Scapes gives freedom to capture  natural or artificial scenes or moments. It's not just landscapes but cityscapes, streetscapes, seascapes, waterscapes, cloudscapes, treescapes, desertscapes or even bodyscapes.

My photo is a part of my cityscape series - very detailed one. It's not an aware choice to shoot details, but it just seems that when I walk around in a city with my camera I find the details so interesting.

If you are in Budapest - go & visit the Scapes photo exhibition at Ph21 Gallery. There are absolutely fantastic & inspirational photos from 34 photographers.

Kyseessä on maisema-aiheinen ryhmänäyttely.

Mun valittu kuva on osa kaupunkimaisemasarjaa - tosi yksityiskohtainen kuva.

Photo Exhibitions in Budapest & Helsinki

Friday, June 17, 2016

Whether you are in Budapest or in Helsinki right now, there is an interesting photo exhibition in both cities.

In Budapest you can see a joint exhibition of three Hungarian artist Anikó Robits, Réka Bohus and Ágnes Eperjesi. Look like paintings but they are very detailed photos. Beautiful compositions! The exhibition takes place in TOBE Gallery. It's a small gallery owned by Bea Puskás and Tomas Opitz at Herzen utca 6 in XIII district in Budapest.

I got totally fascinated by the 2 photos with extreme closed-up Bauhaus details taken in Berlin by Aniko Robitz.

The Triangle exhibition is open until July 6.

Worth visiting!

In Helsinki there's an exhibition called "Kymmenen valoa" (= ten lights) by a group called Ryhmä 10. Interesting photos by 10 different photographers in Kamera Gallery. The place is in the premises of Kameraseura at Lastenkodinkuja 1 in a short walking distance from the very centre of the city.

"Circles of life" by Johanna Friskberg got my attention immediately. It's a beautifully displayed collage of black and white photos all with something round in them. A round form represents continuity, eye follows it continuously.

The exhibition is on until June 22,so hurry up!

Photo Gallery Called TOBE

Saturday, February 21, 2015

There's a nice, small photo gallery called TOBE Gallery on Herzen utca 6 in XIII district, Budapest. Stopped by on Friday afternoon to check the photos of Austrian photographer Claudia Kraus. There're also photos from Venezuelan photographers Carla Tabora & Amalia Pereira. The name of the exhibition is "Lélekvirágok" (Soul of Flowers).

Here're some examples of Claudia Kraus' photos from her collection AGES: CHANGES, which is part of the exhibition at TOBE. I think they are unbelievable beautiful! No idea how she has made them!

Claudia Kraus lives and works as an artist in Vienna. She studied psychology and communication sciences at the University of Vienna.

If you have a possibility, go & visit TOBE, Herzen utca 6, XIII district, Budapest.
