Feel Delighted!



(EN)I found a perfect snack!
Been looking for a snack that would be full of protein, fibre and vitamins, easy to carry in a handbag and with a solid texture - and of course, it should come with a delicious taste. I think it can't get any better than these Delight protein bars.

I often carry a smoothie or a bottle of juice with me but I also feel that I need something to chew as well so I easily choose a bisquit (or 2, well, a package) as most of the nut bars are full of sugar and they are too crunchy (so are the bisquits & cookies too) - there're bits & pieces everywhere, especially in the bag.

It says that these Delight bars have less than 2g sugar, 13g proteins and 16g fibre. So they are pretty high in protein & fibre. They also have vitamins, like D & E, and minerals like zinc and folic acid. There are 3 different flavours - Mocha White Choco, Vanilla Raspberry and Cookie Dough. My favourite is the raspberry one!

 (FI) Täydellinen välipala on löytynyt!
Jo pidemmän aikaa mulla on ollut hakusessa välipala, joka olisi täynnä proteiinia, kuitua ja vitamiineja, helppo kantaa käsilaukussa ja jonka koostumus olisi jämäkkää ja kiinteää sekä vielä että maku olisi herkullinen. Se taitaa nyt olla vihdoin löytynyt sillä Delight proteiinipatukasta on paha enää pistää paremmaksi.

Kannan usein mukanani smoothieta tai mehupulloa, mutta päivän mittaan tulee tarve myös syödä jotain jota voi pureskella. Helposti tulee napattua mukaan keksi (tai siis koko paketti), koska monet pähkinää sisältävistä patukoista on täynnä sokeria ja ne ovat liian murenevia, samoin kuin keksitkin - murusia on sitten joka paikassa, varsinkin laukun pohjalla.

Delight proteiinipatukoissa ilmoitetaan olevan vähemmän kuin 2g sokeria, 13g proteiinia ja 16g kuitua. Proteiinia ja kuitua on siis melko runsaasti. Niissä on myös vitamiineja kuten D ja E sekä mineraaleja kuten sinkkiä ja foolihappoa. Makuvaihtoehtoja on 3 - Mocha White Choco (kahvi), Vanilla Raspberry (vadelma) ja Cookie Dough (piparitaikina). Suosikkini on Vanilla Raspberry!

Snacking is an effective way to fit extra nutrients into diet and prevent overeating at meal times. It keeps from getting overly hungry in between meals. A small heath snack tides you over and keeps blood sugar levels steady. A snack should be around 100 kcal, but if you need to use a snack in place of a meal eat a slightly larger snack containing around 250 kcal. 
Deligh protein bars contain 120 kcal.

(FI) Miksi välipala on tärkeä?
Välipalan avulla on helppo lisätä ravintoa päivittäisen ruokavalioon ja ehkäistä ahmimasta liikaa ruoka-aikana. Välipala auttaa pitämään nälän kurissa pääaterioiden välissä. Pieni terveellinen välipala auttaa selviytymään ja pitää verensokerin vakaana. Välipalan tulisi olla noin 100 kcal, mutta jos sillä pitää korvata kokonainen ateria, kannattaa valita hieman tuhdimpi noin 250kcal sisältävä vaihtoehto.
Delight proteiinipatukka sisältää 120 kcal.

  1. I am a huge fan of snacking for exactly the reasons you mentioned, if it don't snack I end up overeating at mealtimes. Sugar is always an issue so this sounds like a really good choice with low sugar and high protein and fibre.

  3. I will have to keep my eyes open for this at the store. i tend to get sick and tired of my snack choices fairly quickly.

  4. these are chocolate bar i believe, am a lover of chocolates and this delight seems a good choice and wow wow wow, your choice of chocolates and tea is cool.

  6. Aside from this being perfect for people who workout, it's also great to have in your bag for days when you don't have time to grab some lunch. You can't skip meals and it's always nice to have snacks like this!

    1. When you buy snack bar check that it doens't have too much sugar in it. Even though I love everything sweet, I don't want to have sugar on my food nor snacks. I eat proper honest sweets for that.

  8. I love nutritional bars! While I have never tried this type yet, I love Kind bars, Larabars and Questbars the best. I will see if I can find these somewhere, blessings!

    1. Kind bars and those ones you can probably only get at the Wholefood - I can't remember the name right now - were my previous favourites before I found Delight bars :)
