Last Saturday flew from Budapest to Turku

- took a ferry from Turku to Stockholm

Dinner onboard (Silja Europe)

A table at Maxim's was reserved

.

Toast Skagen

- delicious!

- balsamico was a bit strange choice,

too strong with the delicate shrimps

.

There was also a gorgeous hors d'oeuvre table...

Grilled prawns & St Jacob's mussels

with rice & peas

- ok, the sauce was too heavy

and the portion was quite huge
.

Vanilla ice cream, berries and

caramel custard

- fantastic!

Huge dessert table!

Unfortunately couldn't taste all the sweet things there...
.

Very handy!

- 4 cases of beer with a trolley

And if 4 cases is not enough
there're also bigger ones!

Saturday night was not the most
comfortable & relaxing time to travel
everyone was partying

Sweets of Sweden

- interesting mixture:

chocolate bar with caramelized almonds & sea salt!

(135kcal in 25g)

- not so special mixture:

chocolate bar with toffee walnut

(125kcal in 25g)

The one with almonds & sea salt

was sensationally good!

Got several boxes of jelly bellies!

- they're given free on the streets of Stockholm

by the council & police department of Stockholm

- the idea was to tell the pedestrians

that also them have to take some responsibity of the traffic,
that they can't just jump to the streets when & where ever

Not a bad idea!

Bought this lip gloss on Wizz Air flight

from Skavsta to Budapest

- it's promised to increase your

lip size without needles

- by so far haven't noticed that kind of effect,

but the gloss gives a nice & fresh

peppermint sensation

- it's also said to produce semi-permanent results

and that the effects are not fading away...

Gripenberg Castle

Gripenberg Castle

(Swedish: Gripenbergs slott)

is a wooden castle near Tranås in Småland, Sweden.

It is considered to be the biggest wooden castle in Sweden

and one of the oldest that are still remaining today as well.

Gripenberg Castle was built in 1663

as a huntig seat for the field marshal Carl Gustaf Wrangel.

Its architect is unknown,

but there is some reason to believe,

that it might have been Nicodemus Tessin the Elder.

It is assumed that the castle's name is derived

from the name of

Wrangel's mother Margareta Grip

and that Wrangel might have chosen it to commemorate her.

By the end of the 17th century

the castle was bought by Samuel von Söderling

and remained in the possession of his family until today.
