2nd & 3rd day spent in Salzburg.
So far so good. Visited Hohensalzburg Castle, Hellbrunn Castle & Gardens, made long walks up to the hills, took a ferry and saw the city in different angle.

After having a shower and doing some stretching was ready for dinner.
Mozart's birthplace on Getreidegasse 9.
One of the oldest restaurants in Salzburg Zum Eulenspiegel just opposite of the Mozart's birthplace.

Dark chocolate mousse with fresh fruit - ok, not the best mousse ever.
Made a small walk along the river, had a drink and went to sleep

Arriving To Salzburg
Arrived to Salzburg in the afternoon. It's the fourth-largest city in Austria
Getreidegasse in the old town - one of the oldest streets in Salzburg
with plenty of shops. Our hotel is located on Getreidegasse as well.
Almost every shop has its own wrought-iron sign.
Christmas is always around in Salzburg.
Before climbing up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress had a break at Demel's.

Chocolate is not the best thing to buy home during the summer season...
Sweets to go at Demel's located at Mozartplatz 2 in Salzburg.
Took a horse carriage to the fortress - NOT! Not the funicular neither,
instead took a 15min-walk up there...
The Hohensalzburg Castle (Festung Hohensalzburg) on a hill dominating the old town is
one of the largest castles in Europe, with views over Salzburg.
Magic!
Made it up to the Hohensalzburg Fortress! Got some rain up there for a couple of minutes.
Oh, what a view from the fortress!
Salzburg's "Old Town" (Altstadt) has internationally renowned baroque architecture
and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

always put the lights on...makes a big difference.

There's also a sofa on the left side (not in the pic...)
