My dry skin needed a good moisturizer, preferably oil. Decided to try Weleda's Pomegranate body oil and also Birch cellulite oil. Didn't disappoint! Both oils are easy to apply and they absorb immediately so I can dress up straight away, no need to wait. The scent is nice, mild and rather fresh. 

Kuiva ihoni tarvitsi hyv'n kosteuttajan, mieluiten öljyn. Päätin kokeilla Weledan Granaattiomena vartaloöljyä sekä Koivu selluliittiöljyä. Enkä pettynyt! Molemmat öljyt on helppo levittää ja ne myös imeytyvät nopeasti, ei tarvitse odotella. Tuoksu on molemmissa miellyttävä, mieto ja raikkaanoloinen.

I like to choose a 'natural' organic product as often as possible. I'm far from a fanatic so a synthetic one will absolutely do if it's effective, but it certainly gives a better feeling when a product is based on a healthy philosophy. 

Some facts about Weleda:

It's a multinational company that produces both beauty products and naturopathic medicines. Both branches design their products based on anthroposophic principles. The company is dedicated to use entirely 'natural' ingredients and none of their ingredients or products are tested on animals. Weleda also uses a green energy supplier and are passionate about education for their farmers and their communities. They use plants grown using biodynamic methods.  

Valitsen mieluummin ekologisen vaihtoehdon aina kun mahdollista. En kuitenkaan ole sen suhteen fanaatikko vaan käytän myös synteettisiä tuotteita kunhan vaan ovat tarpeeksi tehokkaita. Tulee parempi olo kun tuotteen valmistus pohjautuu terveeseen filosofiaan.

Weleda on monikansallinen yritys joka valmistaa sekä kauneus tuotteita että naturopaattisia lääkkeitä. Molemmissa tuoteryhmissä valmistus perustuu antropologisiin periaatteisiin. Yritys käyttää kokonaan luonnollisia raaka-aineita eikä yhtäkään tuotetta tai raaka-ainetta ole testattu eläimillä. Weleda käyttää myös vihreän sähkön lähteitä sekä kouluttaa viljelijöitään. An extract of organic birch leaves is known for its purifying and detoxifying effects.  Organic pomegranate seed oil contains powerful antioxidants.

Koivunlehtien luomuöljy tunnetaan sen puhdistavasta ja detox-vaikutteisesta ominaisuuksista. Granaattiomenan luomusiemenöljy sisältää tehokkaita entioksidantteja.

The only negative side is the glass bottle. It gets easily a bit slippery. But the glass sits better to Weleda's ideology than a plastic one would. 

Ainoa ei-niin-hyvä puoli on lasipullo. Vähän kömpelö käsitellä ja liukas. Mutta ymmärrettävää että lasi sopii Weledan ideologiaan paremmin kuin muovipullo.

Rid Of Cellulite?

I've been a heavy user of different anti-cellulite products for ages. Do they really work? Well... Do I believe in them? Well, yes! I believe I would have even more cellulite without using them.

Last month I tried a totally new anti-cellulite product, at least it was new for me. An Italian sea water and alga product called GUAM.

It's a kind of clay, so it's a bit messy to use.

You massage it on to the problem areas and cover it with a cling wrap and leave it for 45mins.

It feels effective as it gives a warm and kind of tickling feeling. And the smell is strong yet pleasant. After 45mins unwrap and clean the paste with luke warm water. Use moisturizing lotion afterwards.

The treatment should be followed for 4 weeks so that first 2 weeks you use it for 4 times/week and the last 2 weeks twice a week. And after that it's recommended to use once a week. Unfortunately I had only one jar, which lasted 2 weeks...   

Did I see any improvement? Not in 2 weeks. But I still think it was better than nothing.
