There's a TOMS pop-up on Madach Imre utca 10 in Budapest. 

TOMS is an American brand mainly for shoes founded in 2006. The idea behind Toms is that for every pair of shoes sold, a new pair of shoes is given to an impoverished child. 

There're also sunglasses in the collection and in 2014 a coffee company was founded - TOMS Roasting Co.  

The slogan of TOMS is "One For One".

What a great modern-retro feeling in this cute shop at Szondi utca!

Full of beautiful vintage pieces turn into contemporal ones in the hands of Hungarian Sára Kele & Barbara Markó.

These two women are in love with quality design from the past decades so they go treasure hunting for old forgotten objects and make them look amazingly gorgeous.

Plain Luxury!

Il Bacio di Stile fashion department store is pure luxury! The place is gorgeous with several floors.The whole building is renovated beautifully.

Ground floor is for shoes & handbags including Tod's, Jimmy Choo, Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta...

First floor is for women's fashion including TOM FORD, Celine, Valentino, Chloe... 

Second floor is also for women's fashion with brands like Juicy Couture, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Moncler...

Third floor is for men's wear (didn't check the labels...).

Ground floor is a bit more sporty with labels like Y3.

Even the changing rooms are glamorous & gorgeous.

My only concern is that will there be enough customers for a store this glamorous in Budapest...Let's hope so!

ps. this is on my wish list...Sac de jour.

but not the real ones
- these ones are with egg white icing or marcipan
- bought one and unfortunately
didn't feel so good after
eating a bite of it...

Thank you for your feed back, I have to tell you that I was really sad when I red your mail.
You should know that it is our 4th pastry, we make cake not only for our pastry
but for other confctionaries as well.
The quality is the most important thing for us, we use only the best materilas
(Carbo and Valrhona chocolate, milk from farm but only materials controlled.
Our chief confectioner is the board member of the Hungarian Pastry Syndicate.
Not only this are the reasons but we cannot allow us to make any cake from uncontrolled materials,
we do not allow to display in the counter and sell expired products.


Regarding the cup cake mentioned I have to tell you that:
- We always use only sterilized eggs
- On the same day we have made 85 muffins from the same egg white and there was no other feed back (we sell them on Saturday as well)
- The egg white made with sugar and before use we heat it, so there are two reasons wich makes more difficult to grow the bacterisa.
In any event we have called back the last 4 muffins yesterday and we asked the Ántsz to test them today.
I hope you will find other cakes in our confectionary wich will be more delicious and tasty for you.

while doing some Xmas shopping

- Bolt (=shop) is located almost next to

Láci Báci's old record shop

on Kertesz utca

There're T-shirts, accessories, bags, retro furniture...

designed by Bolt, Bartha Gabó,

Budha Tomi, Nos, Pucc,

Piry Anikó, Recycle Mission...

- interesting stuff in reasonable price,

t-shirts seemed to be good quality as well

H&M at Westend

H&M was opened today at Westend City Center

on the 2nd floor,

where used to be the ticket sales for

Westend Palace Cinemas

- it was a kind of wasted space there

- now the ticket sales are on the same floor

as the cinemas on 3rd floor

- imagining that it makes looking thinner...

Alarm clock didn't ring at 7am as planned!

Woke up 7.40,

quick shower

and to Vörösmárty tér by tube!

Luckily had an angel as friend

who was already queing

when arrived

and had got 2 yellow bracelets!

- entering time at 9.45am,

and 10mins time for shopping

-went for a cup of tea

(had no time for breakfast at home)

at McCafé

- was planning to buy an evening clutch

but it was too bling-bling

with all that shiny stars etc

New Alexandra Bookstore

As mentioned earlier

the new Alexandra Bookstore

at Párizi Áruház

on Andrássy út 39.

opened on Wednesday

- the bookstore itself is spacious

& modern,

but nothing special,

just like a normal book shop

with a music department

- foreign language book section is

not a very huge one

and the languages are quite limited,

didn't find anything in Spanish for example

BUT

after going up by the escalators,

there's a beautiful hall

made for café
