Housing Fair 2016 in Seinäjoki, Part 3

Thursday, July 21, 2016

This house called 'Kotola' was one of my favourites at the Housing Fair 2016 in Seinäjoki. It's located a bit separately from the others but still very easy to find. The house has a kind of 'sketch -ish' raw look, it's a bit like unfinished, but it's not. It's built so that it will be easy to change the space over the years whenever the persons living there want to update their living style.

The bathroom of Kotola was definitely at least one of the best - I may say it was actually number 1 among the bathrooms at the Gousing Fair 2016. Simple love those concrete walls and black shower. Everything in the house looks and feel natural as lots of wood, linen and other natural materials were used. I don't usually like the look of wooden walls but in this house it all made sense and looked so fresh. The whole colour palette was, of course, very neutral & natural.

Interesting detail was the garden sauna at the end of the terrace.

Would yoy like to live in this kind of natural home?

Housing Fair 2016 In Seinäjoki, Part 2

Here're some pics of Mäihä blocks of flat which was shown at the Housing Fair 2016 in Seinäjoki. It was possible to see three differently decorated homes of this building.

The first photos here are from 'Lusto' which made for and elderly couple who wants to downsize their living after children have already moved out. Looking cosy and fresh with neutrals and carefully chosen colours in textiles.

One of the three flats in this house was turn into a gallery - Galleria Konsti -  where local crafted art and utensils were shown how they would fit in a real home.

The third flat is called 'Moobs' and it was designed and decorated for a single man who works in the local hospital as a doctor. In his freetime he likes to travel abroad and hike in the neighbourhood.

Housing Fair 2016 Seinäjoki, Part 1

I will share some pics from this year's Housing Fair 2016 in Finland. It's an annual fair where around 40 houses are built for real families, and for one month people have chance to come and see them. The houses represent the newest technology and trends. I'm interested in interior designing, and this fair gives such a great opportunity to update my style, get new ideas and find interesting solutions.

Interior trend with lots of white, a bit of grey and a hint of black continues. It's so Scandinavian, pure and cosy - at least that's what I think. What about you - do you need colours around you or are you more for 'non-colour' style?

I love pillow cases and duvet covers made of soft linen. They are comfy, natural & so casual looking.

These pics are from the house #19 Honka Marki by Honkarakenne and the interior design was made by Anna Tuohimaa.
