Bought this boo a while ago and just finished reading it. I kept on reading it and couldn't let it out of my hands. The Girl Ob The Train by Paula Hawkins is not a thriller nor a crime novel, or at least I didn't think of that, but there're several creepy moments.
I like the way it's written. There're two main characters, later comes a thurd one, who are telling their stories on the same timeline. A girl on a train starts the book by telling how she travels to London by train every morning and back in the evenings. Sounds a bit boring, but it just isn't boring at all! By the end of the book you know everything about Rachel, who's the girl on the train and not only about her but all the others involving to her life.
It's better not to tell more as I'm afraid I might reveal too much. I can highly recommend this book basically to everyone who loves reading. The book has been optioned for film by DreamWorks so read it asap!
Paula Hawkins is a British author (she wil have her 44th birthday this week!). Her earlier books haven't succeeded commercially. It took her 6 months writing fulltime to complete 'The Girl On The Train' at a time when she was in a difficult financial situation and had to borrow from her father to be able to complete it.
Have you read this novel?
