In the September issue of "Lakáskultúra", Hungarian interior magazine there's an article of Ari's mansion. Ari is a Finnish man living and renovating the castle during summer seasons, otherwise living in Budapest. He collects and sells antiques.

A Castle Visit

 Yesterday had a chance to visit Ari's Amadé-Bajyáth-Pappenheim castle in Iszkaszentgyörgy near Szekesfehérvar in Hungary.

Ari made us a private tour around the castle and told lots of interesting stories of the history of the place.

Some of the rooms have already been renovated and some Rococo and Classical frescos have been found underneath several layers of paint and wallpapers.

In the second floor Ari has an antique shop, every room represents a different era.

The huge park around the castle used to be a baroque garden, and one day it will be that again.

Ari has made a great job and has wonderful plans & ideas for the future. The place is perfect for art exhibitions and summer camps, concerts etc. 

Absolutely worth visiting!

Neuschwanstein

Castle of Neuschwanstein in Bavaria
- it looks like a fairy tail castle,

almost like in Disney World!

Schloss Neuschwanstein, or "New Swanstone Castle",

a dramatic Romanesque fortress with soaring fairy-tale towers

situated on an Alpine crag

Watetfall nearby the castle

Walked all the way up to the castle

and also back down...

and the weather was rather hot

Ludwig commissioned the construction of

several extravagant fantasy castles and palaces,

the most famous being Neuschwanstein,

and was a devoted patron of the composer Richard Wagner.

Since his legacy of grandiose castles lives

on in the form of massive tourist revenue,

King Ludwig is generally well liked and

even revered by many in Bavaria today.

Ludwig II (Ludwig Otto Friedrich Wilhelm,

sometimes rendered as Louis II in English) 1845 – 1886)

was King of Bavaria from 1864 until shortly before his death.

He is sometimes called the Swan King

and der Märchenkönig, the Fairy tale King
