Lumas - The Liberation Of Art

Friday, October 21, 2016

(EN) Got an invitation to Lumas Gallery in Budapest on the other day. They had organized a fantastic evening with gorgeous photos called Lumas The Liberation Of Art. The event was not just about photographs but art, fashion and trends as well. And that buffet was so cute and full of everything I just love - yum!

The photos are impressive at Lumas. They are colourful, detailed, huge, breathtaking and fascinating. Not all the photos are so huge - there're also smaller ones, which are displayed so creatively. BTW, there's this LUMAS ART NOW service or how to call it. The thing is that this art is portable and ready to take home or send by post as a present. Lumas Art Now pictures fit in any postbox. They are easy to hang, have built-in magnets, and come with an acrylic stand. Super easy to display anywhere!

(FI) Sain tässä yhtenä päivänä kutsun Lumas Galleriaan Budapestissa. Aivan ihana ilta upeiden valokuvien parissa.

(EN) To frame or not to frame? That's a question I've been struggling for  with my photos. The truth is that a photo looks better in frames, but a perfect frame is not that easy to find. A frame should underscore a work's quality and maintain a harmonic balance with the interior design of the room in which it is displayed.

Got a great frame tip by Lumas - The Artbox. A photo is set inside a solid wood frame. The frame's variable depth of up to 50mm visually & physically separates the image from the wall, emphasising the important fact that it is not just a photograph but also an object. There's also an aluminium version available, meaning there's a perfect option to suit any picture.
I really like this idea!

Sain Lumasilta hyvän kehysvinkin nimeltään The Artbox.

  8. The art should serve as a gateway to one's soul, or as a projection of one's soul to the outside world. The true magna art however, gives us a chance to experience and understand, meaning everyone will probably take out whatever art represents for them.

  10. Every picture has its own life, as if telling it's own story or at least what comes to mind when you see them. This exhibit is worth going to, without a doubt!

  11. I love art and exploring new looks. I love the autumn tree at the end. Also I definitely say you need to frame. It keeps the artwork/picture so much safer.

  17. I love photography exhibitions! Being a photographer myself and I do know how hard it is to find the perfect frame, as depending on the subject and the theme you want to focus on different things and a frame can add value or make your photo worse. It's always a hard choice.

    1. It is a hard choice! Ans exactly as you said a frame can ruin the whole photo or emphaze it.
