Food Styling & Photography

Sunday, December 13, 2015

In food photography and styling it's important to learn how food works, reacts to its environment, moves on the plate etc. Disobey the rules and play with food.

Figure out what is the story you are trying to tell with your shot. Think about how the food will look when photographed - from over head and from the side it certainly looks different.

Beside the food you need to choose props, background and surface which fit with the food and makes it delicious, appealing and interesting.

When shooting food natural light always works best.

Bon Appetit!

  1. I agree. Natural lighting works best because flash can create too much exposure and lose clarity in the picture quality.
