productive blue

New year has started and perhaps it's time to update the home office. When the main colour palette is neutral, it's easy to add some seasonal colours. I was playing with dark blue as it looks pretty fresh, effective and calming as well.
When looking for home office decorating ideas, always think in terms of inspiration; your work area should be functional, but also reflective of the things that motivate you.

Table lamps, vases, pictures and artwork are always go-to pieces. Make sure to give yourself a view. If you have a window, set up your desk so you can look out of it. If not, put up an inspiring gallery wall or a unique wall hanging to gaze something nice when taking breaks.

Home office layout should serve your workflow and overall creative process.

Blue is said to be the most productive colour, and absolutely the best if you do mind-work all day.

(FI) Uusi vuosi on alkanut ja tähän aikaan vuodesta saattaa olla aihetta päivittää kotitoimisto. Silloin kun väripaletti on neutraali, on siihen helppo lisätä jokin kauden sävy. Leikittelin tässä tumman sinisellä yhdistetty valkoiseen. Tumman sininen näyttää raikkaalta, tehokkaalta ja samalla rauhoittavalta.

Kotitoimiston sisustusta mietittäessä on hyvä antaa tilaa inspiraatiolle.

White Walls & Other Stories

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

With white walls you can do anything - it's an endless story full of possibilities, and of course, always beautiful. There're so many different hues of white, and styles how to use it. Here're some examples which I picked up at the Housing Fair 2015 in Vantaa earlier this summer.
PS. of course, there're hints of grayge & black in different tones...

Minimalist, chic, rich, urban, country... pick your favourite one!

Blue, Copper and Leather

Thursday, August 6, 2015

Just had to add some snapshots of this living room/dining area of a house at the Housing Fair 2015 in Vantaa. Combination of ink blue, and natural tones of leather looks so great, modern yet timeless and kind of masculine.

The last day of Housing Fair 2015 in Vantaa is on Sunday August 9.

Housing Fair 2015 in Vantaa: Bedroom ideas

Tuesday, July 28, 2015

There was not so much differences between the bedrooms at the Housing Fair 2015. Mostly they were light, rather small rooms with white & grey beddings. Blue was secondly popular colour - from dark ink to pale baby blue. Of course, a hint of pastel pink was seen, and even black with bright fuchsia, and a bedroom with bright red bedding!

Very Scandinavian style & colour scheme.

I'm definitely for the linen bedding ones!
Did you find your favourite one?
