KRINK For Coach

Saturday, March 16, 2013

Seems like cooperation between graffiti artists & fashion labels is the thing at the moment.
Louis Vuitton did it and now Coach is doing it too.

Coach presents its collaborative spring/summer collection with Brooklyn-based KRINK. Craig Costello, known popularly as KR and the mastermind behind KRINK, draws from his graffiti, skater, and punk influences growing up in 1980s Queens to help produce a series of coated canvas totes and accessories.
As another New York-born brand, Coach worked hard with Costello to do its home turf justice, reproducing the controlled chaos of paint drips, splashes and spatters using a 30,
count ‘em 30-step silk screening process.
Those hoping to catch some of the limited edition KRINK collection, which also includes an iPad case, luggage tags, a billfold, an accordion zip wallet, and portfolio, can do so at select Coach outlets worldwide and online beginning
late February and until the end of June.

A Chilly Day

Sunday, March 4, 2012

What would be better than go to a mall
on a chilly, partly rainy day!
Drove to the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables.
The early morning was still really warm and sunny,
but by the noon it had changed to almost stormy weather.

 The Village of Merrick Park
- a nice upscale outside mall
When in the States want to buy American labels
rather than Europeans.
Diane von Furstenberg, Marc Jacobs, Manolo Blahnik,
Coach and Tory Burch are on the top of my list.

By the way,  my new Madison leather Lindsey satchel
in desert by Coach.

Accessories in pattern cotton by Diane von Furstenberg
Ouh, the window display of Diane von Furstenber
looks almost like a Marimekko window!
No wonder that as a Finn it attracts me so much...

On the way back home stopped at Whole Foods and Publix
to buy some groceries.

Dinner at home:
 Tuna tartar.
Spicy Italian meatballs in tomato sauce.

Watching HGTV before going to bed.
Good night!
