Last night it was the opening night of the students' art exhibition at Ari Kupsus Gallery in Budapest. 16 scholarships were handed out for the talented young painters of Painting Faculty of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts.
My favourite is the "Mintas bluz" (pattern blouse) by Bernadett Brezskovics. Judit Ágnes Gallai's "Kék kutya" (blue dog) is pretty impressive!I also like the pastels in that shirt painting "Identitászavar" (identification disorder) by Krisztina Juhász.
If you have time go and have a look! Ari Kupsus Gallery is on Brody Sandor utca 23, VIII district - absolutely worth visiting!
Did you find your favourite?
Amazing art! I really like the one that has 3 heads I think it is, the colours are great. I also like the last picture on the left. Beautiful work, I really appreciate good art :)
ReplyDeleteAmazing, aren't they? Lots of beautiful colours.
DeleteLets b e honest here, Im not a big fan or art nor do i understand much of it. But the images are great
ReplyDeleteYou don't need to understand it - just feel it :)
DeleteInteresting and thought provoking pictures! I love walking through an art gallery and wondering what the artist meant when they were creating their pieces.
ReplyDeleteYes, you're right! It's not easy to understand what they were thinking while creating a piece of art. Quite often the artists don't want to explain their work, they want people to find them on their own way.
DeleteI love visiting art galleries! They are always so interesting! From these paintings, I like the child's face and the tree lined waterway the best!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's so interesting to visit galleries! The tree lined waterway was so lovely to look at - beautiful relaxing colours.
DeleteAbsolutely stunning! Puts my own artwork to shame TT_TT My favorite is the forest one in the second photo even though it is on an angle.
ReplyDeleteVery impressive and stunning artwork! That was one of the favourites of the guests in the opening.
DeleteFrom your beautiful photos, I think I'd have to agree with you on the favourite as being the Mintas bluz !
ReplyDeleteGood choice, Freya :)
DeleteWow, some impressive work in there! I'm always amazed out how artists (and STUDENTS!) think outside of the box.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree - really stunning pieces of artwork :)

ReplyDeleteMe too - Mintas bluz has something fascinating in it. It's beautiful and that bottle makes it so interesting.
DeleteI love the colour and the images in this art. I really wish I knew more about how to appreciate art. I do however appreciate colour and something that makes me feel happy.
ReplyDeleteThat's the most important thing, Bella :)
DeleteI'm more of a sculpture girl myself but these paintings are lovely. I'm a huge fan of abstract art - thanks for sharing.
