A Fish Called Avalon

Thursday dinner at the hotel’s restaurant:
A Fish Called Avalon
- too tired after all that walking in the warm weather
to go somewhere else
& besides the restaurant is highly recommended
and every night full
and on the arrival night was too tired to really explore it

Bang Bang Shrimp
- citrus mojo marinade, grapefruit, orange, pistachio dust, avocado crema
Huge portion for a starter! But that’s nothing new in US
Mojo marinade had a bit too strong & burnt taste for me
Avocado crema had also small chops of raw onion which wasn’t for my taste
Otherwise good choice!
Off the list the Alaskan king crab was recommended,
so had that one.
All right, it’s not so ecological to eat something
which has been brought far away,
but at least it was something American.
Once again huge portion!
A Fish Called Avalon
At Avalon Hotel
700 Ocean Drive
South Miami Beach
By the way, this seafood plate was also a starter!
