Woke up 5.30am. Did the packing. Had breakfast at 6.30am. And the taxi to the airport arrived at 7. Flight was on time, the departure at 8.45.
Malta was an interesting place to visit. As mentioned earlier been there once before in 1997. Since then the island has changed a lot. The traffic is quite wild. Last time rent a car, now didn't even dream about it.
Malta consists of 3 island:
Malta - as the main one
Gozo - the greenest one
Comino - the smallest one in between the 2
The main island is only 27km long and 14km wide.
The total populations is app. 350.000.
People speak: Maltese - which sounds like Arabic - and English.
Many speaks also Italian and other languages.
There is only 95km from Malta to Sicily.
Malta is a very unique place. It is kind of mix of Italy, Spain, Cyprus and North Africa.
The Grand Hotel Excelsior was a perfect choice. The location in Valletta, the room, the service, the spa and gym... nothing to complain.
