Nubu is a Hungarian fashion brand founded by Judit Garam together with her brother Peter in 2008. Their pieces are timeless and made of the best materials with smart cuts.

The colour scheme is usually pretty monochrome, but there're always some interesting colour splashes.

Designer Judit Garam describes Nubu as "minimalist, clean & pure".

Nubu has its flagship store on Andrassy ut 13 in Budapest, but there're also pop-ups, one is located in MOM Park - took these pics there.

So if you visit Budapest, don't forget to pop in to Nubu!

Wow, what a doggy bag!

 Remember the times when the building

was an outworn bus terminal.

Now the Istvan Nyiri Bauhaus and

socialist-realist building

(built in 1948-1949)

is home for Hungarian design.

Fabulous idea!

- just love the design of this house!

Design Plus

 Paid a visit to MAXCity during the weekend

as there're a design exhibition and sales

- the marketing of this happening was made quite well:

leaflets between the local interior magazines,

e-mails etc

but the place was almost empty,

very few people were there!

.

 To be honest there was nothing special...

Walked through all the 3 floors of  MAXCity

and went in to only a couple of the shops

- like IDdesign (pics above) and Sa Maison (below)

as the rest didn't attract at all

- couldn't find any place for a coffee there...

 Before had seen this "different cities" sofa

in the magazines only

- it looks quite nice in real too!

 Kilim, the Nomadic rug store had a lot of colourful rugs

made of pieces of antique rugs and then coloured them

- interesting

- some of them're really beautiful 

Lamps made by Hungarian designer(s)

in the exhibition hall

- unfortunately couldn't find out who has designed them

nor where to buy them!
