Tangy Lemons

With their sharp tang and fragrant zest, lemons are one of the great tastes of any season. Simply add a squeeze of juice to any dish. For a richer taste, grate the zest of preferable unwaxed lemons and add to sauces and cakes. 

Nowadays I drink lemon juice every morning and kind of like its tangy, aromatic flavour. First thing in the morning I put the kettle on, squeeze a half of a lemon into a mug and pour the hot water on top of it, let it cool down a while and drink it into an empty stomach. It is said to have a detoxifying effect. 

Here're a list of what lemons do:

  1. Prevent kidney stones
  2. Soothe a sore throat
  3. Support weight loss
  4. Add vitamin C
  5. Stop an itch caused by insect bites
  6. Aids in digestion
  7. Anticancer properties
  8. Potassium power
  9. Bring down a fever
  10. Balance pH
