Louis Vuitton on 170 NE 40th Street in Miami Design District.
After seeing the murals on the wall, just had to enter the store.
Had only one thing on my mind...
The IT scarf design by RETNA.
Spread out scarf in beautiful Miami colours.
Love my new calligraphic cashmere & silk scarf.
Louis Vuitton commissioned L.A.-based graffiti writer
Marquis Lewis, aka RETNA,
to transform the exterior of its new store
into a work of art.
Rather than an all-glass facade like most other LV stores,
this new Louis Vuitton storefront at the trendy Miami Design District features a mural by graffiti writer RETNA instead.
Done in his familiar hieroglyphics and calligraphy designs,
the pastel palettes gently bleed through one another,
creating a visual much like a large water-colored landscape.
LA based RETNA began making street art in high school
because he was drawn to the rich Los Agneles graffiti scene.
His work is urban and often inspired by calligraphy.
