Hopetown
Sunday, February 6, 2011
Someone is waiting for post.
.
Sugar Shack is the place for ice-cream.
Pink Candy - lovely!
.
Pink house - lovely!
.
All the houses are wooden ones and mainly painted with delicious ice-cream colours.
.
Hope Town was founded 1785 by British loyalists escaping the revolution in USA.
.
Many of the houses are holiday homes for the Americans.
There's no Europeans living on the island nor owning any of the houses, yet...
.
There's only a couple of cars on the island, but there's not so many roads to drive for either.
Golf carts are the main mean of transportation then comes the bicycles.
.
