Saturday dinner at Giritli

- went to see the place earlier & booked a table for 9pm

-Turkish-Cretan cuisine

Still some tables looked empty,

after some minutes wealthy locals arrived

- again all the tables were outside

Only set menu was available,

consisting plenty of cold mezes,

and some delicious hot mezes:

Griled octopus
- marvellous
.

Calamare fritti with tartar

- delicious but heavy
.

Cheese pie
- fantastic!
.

For the main course could choose from different fish,

took 1 plate of 4 different ones

and shared them:

Anchovies wrapped in wineleaves

Sardines

"hamsi"
.

Red mullets
.

- all absolutely delicious & fresh!

Deep-fried dough with honey & vanilla ice cream
- nice!

- fresh, delicious food,

hot mezes better than the cold ones

- good service

- mainly locals

- not easy to find, which is a plus!

- heaters outside so pleasant to sit outside
