Portofino is about 5km from Santa Margherita Ligure
- there's made a nice way for walking there
Not a bad place for a villa up there!

The footpath from Paraggi to Portofino

The port of Portofino
Seaside villas
Narrow street
Lots of small boutiques in Portofino,
Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Missoni...
Colourful houses at the port
Some nice yachts
Had a lunch in Portofino,
most of the places at the seaside
were more like cafés and bars than real restaurants
- picked up a place inside the town,
Ristorante Batty.
Started with an antipasto plate:
a piece of fish with parsley-garlic mayonnese,
swordfish marinated with vinegar & onion,
shrimp with chilimayonnese
- very good, especially the swordfish!
bread with spicy tomatospread
clams in tomato sauce
For the main course chose scampis boiled in a sauce a la Batty

- marvellous!
So fresh!
A bottle of complimentary grappa & limoncello
arrived on the table
Absolutely my favourite:

forest strawberries!
Some Russians were ordering the strawberries as well,
but they asked to have the berries "in Moscow style",
strawberries, vanilla ice-cream & a bottle of grand marnier
Left the restaurant just as the complimentary bottles
of grappa & limoncello
were brought to the table of our funny friends from Russia...
Rating: 4,5/5
Ristorante Batty
Vico Nuovo, 17
Small shops at the port
Quite nice private yacht!
Must be a perfect view from this house!

Beach of Paraggi
- situated between Portofino & Santa Margherita Ligure
- a day ticket to the beach, including:
entrance for 2, 2 sunbeds & an umbrella
costs 80 eur
- not a cheap place!
