Shopping in Copenhagen

Thursday, July 23, 2009

Copenhagen is full of interior design shops!
Otherwise didn't really find anything special,
of course the Danish brands were well represented:
Sand, InWear, NoaNoa, Jackpot,
Bitte Kai Rand, By Malena Birger...
The end of the sales was still on
so not yet new collections.
.
On Ströget (the pedestrian street)
there're also
Gucci, Hermes, Max Mara, Burberry,
Louis Vuitton, Chanel
- the street itself doesn't look glamorous
and the high-end brands are quite unvisible
- seems like for lay-back Danes everyone & everything is equal
.
The 2 best department stores are:
Illum
Östergade 51
1001 Copenhagen
&
Magasin
Kongens Nytorv
1095 Copenhagen
.
Bought some small & light Danish goods:

Pots for herbs by Normann Copenhagen
http://www.normann-copenhagen.com/
.
Tea mugs by Bodum
.
Left for Kastrup airport already at 1.45pm
even though the departure to Helsinki as only at 6.45pm,
heard that the shopping possibilities there were huge.
had checked-in earlier via internet,
so needed only to find the backage drop.
Finnair's backage drop opened 2h before the flight,
well, had quite a long wait with the lugguage...
.
It was true that there were loads of shops
but nothong to compare with
Heatrow Terminal 5!
.
Ate a box of sushi at Kitchen & Co
- quite nice portion!
.
