Today we have off here in Hungary.
It's not really a celebration day but memorial day
for the Hungarians.
It's all kinds of programs throughout the day
and demonstrations as well.
A couple of years ago it went a bit too wild
with molotov cocktails...
Last year this time I was in LA packing for Las Vegas...
October 23rd is a national holiday in Hungary. It commemorates the Revolution of 1956, when Hungarians rose up against the Soviet ruled communist system.
It also commemorates the ‘Day of the Republic’, as in 1989, after the fall of communism, Hungary was declared a republic on October 23rd.
Btw, did anyone see Celebration Day by Led Zeppelin yesterday???
