Clear blue sky on Sunday
.
Sunday lunch at The Albion
- famous gastro-pub,
the winner of Observer Food Monthly's
Best Sunday Lunch
.
Had reservation at noon
.
Scallops with cauliflower pureé,
curry oil, golden raisins
- perfect!
- size of the portion also perfect,
not too heavy
- cauliflower puré & curry oil gave a different
yet very nice taste
- raisins are never my favourites
.
Classic roast chicken
with bread sauce (very British!)
& vegetables
- chicken was lovely, so soft and juicy
- huge portion
.
Chocolate brownie with white chocolate sauce
- instead of the white chocolate sauce
got a scoop of ice-cream
- not bad either!
.
Rating: 3,8/5
Absolutely a perfect place for British Sunday lunch
- nice pub interior
- got a table in the back,
a bit dark there
- service was ok
