Been a bit confused with different hair salons,

after Monika left to work for cruise ships

- was her client for about 10 years

.

Here're pros & cons of visited salons

starting autumn -09

Hajas on Nádor utca,

visited the salon for 3 times

+ service in English

+ nice looking place

+ possibility to have a cup of tea, coffee, water

+ Kerastase products

+ hair looked fantastic after every visit

- expensive

- hairdresser thought I'm from Tshech Republic,

after all that talk about Finland

conclution:

either did't listen or had a short memory

- delays easily, had to wait

- took along time, app. 2,5 to 3h

- no outdoor lights in that area of 5th district

Zsidró on Andrássy,

one visit

+good location

+ Kerastase products

+ place looks ok

+ receptionist speaks English

- must deal with 2 hairdressers:

one does the colouring,

other one cuts and blow-dries

- atmosphere makes you feel that you're in a wrong place

- not a cheap place

.

Royal Hair on Irányi utca

one visit

+ hairdresser was kind,

not a talkative one

- specialised in hair lenghtening

- colour ok, not perfect

- not for a trendy hair

- easy to find but still a bit too far

- new, small place lacking a comfortable feeling

- not so inexpensive as would expect

.

Hairclub on Paulay Ede utca

one visit

+ nice looking place

+ good location

+ no disco music! more like indie rock

+ good products

+ colour was perfect

- must deal with 2 persons:

one does the colour &

other one dries the hair

- never experience so poor blow-drying:

no heat protection or any other product was used,

only a brush,

and when already dried

a bit of oil was added,

which made the hair look already dirty

- pricewise it was average

.

Hajas Salon on Erzsébet tér

one visit

+ good location

+ Kerastase products

+ nice, friendly service

+ tea, coffee & soft drinks avaiable

+ result was perfect:

beautiful colour & fabulous texture of the hair

+ not so expensive as the one on Nádor utca

+ didn't have to wait at all! Let's see next time...

- probably the place was renovated quite lately,

but something's missing,

not so nice looking as you would expect

- again had to deal with 2 persons:

techician does the colouring,

hairdresser cutting & blow-drying

.

Hajas Salon on Erzsébet tér is the winner,

so far

- will visit there in the future

.
