Tuesday's ballet Swan Lake at Opera was a beautiful production!
Odette/Odile was danced by Alexandra Kozmér
Prince by Zoltán Oláh
the Master of ceremonies by excellent Miklós Dávid Kerényi
Had seats on 3rd row,
like to sit in the front
and see how the feet of the dancers' work.
Valéria Csányi conducted the Tchaikovsky's ballet.
Swan Lake is a ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky,
composed 1875-1876.
The scenario,
initially in four acts
was fashioned from Russian folk tales
as well as an ancient German legend,
which tells the story of Odette,
a princess turned into a swan
by an evil sorcerer's curse.
The ballet received its premiere
on February 27, 1877,
at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow
