Hungarian Wedding

Was invited to friends' wedding party

on Saturday afternoon

.
The wedding took place at Sóskúti lovarda étterém
near Budapest
.Nice place with plenty of horses
.
The wedding ceremony was outside in the garden
- perfect weather!
.

One of the programs:

the bride broke a plate,

the groom swept the pieces

and together they cleaned the floor
- bit of a Greek feeling
.

One of the dinner tables for guests

Beautiful flower arrangement

- every table had one
.
The dinner started with:

soup

(pasta in the bottom)
.

and chicken, carrots & peas

- everyone could mix the ingredients as wished

- the broth and chicken were delicious!

After that arrived
.

Pickeled cucumbers, paprikas & cabbage

.

tray of mixed meats, deep-fried cheese...

- seasam chicken was extremely tasty!
.

rice, vegetables, jacket potatoes
.

red cabbage, mashed potato with spicies
.

Absolutely no starving with all that food!

Later arrived also trays of petit fours, bisquits, cakes...

- unfortunately no photos,

but ate plenty of them

- especially the petit fours were gorgeous!

Dancing time with live band
.

Not attending many Hungarian weddings,

there was a nice & pleasant atmosphere

at this wedding!
