Book Corner: The Stylist

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

Just finished The stylist by Rosie Nixon. As it says in the cover this is "a must-read for The Devil Wears Prada and Shopaholic fans!" and that what it really is.

The protagonist Amber Green - yes, that's her name and she hears about it all the time (only red is missing and it would be the whole colours of traffic lights!) - is working at a high-end fashion store in London. She's not that keen on fashion but do know what looks good and what doesn't. (Almost) accidentally she suddenly finds her self in Tinseltown dressing up big stars. But is that her dream job?

This book is very entertaining and I can quarantee that there's no boring moment with this book. At the same time you get a glimse of the fashion world in both places London and Los Angeles. It's so nice to relax with something light and well-written stories.

The author Rosie Nixon is joint editor of Hello! magazine and lives in London.

"A brilliant and funny insight into the circus of show business and fashion by an author who's seen it all herself. Loved it."
- Martine McCutcheon -

Have you read this book?

I warmly recommend you to read about the adventures of Amber Green.
