Hot & Spicy

Friday, August 9, 2013

When the weather is extremely warm you don't necessarily fancy a bowl of hot soup, but then why not? You're sweating anyway.
Actually found this goulash-type soup perfect for a hot summer evening!
 Hot & spicy goulash soup:
400g beef
3 potatoes
3 carrots
1 onion
1 red paprika (sweet pepper)
1 white paprika
5 garlic gloves
15 cherry tomatoes
sweet paprika powder
1 dried chili
salt
3dl red wine

Put the beef in a pan and add cold water so that the meat is covered. Let it boil slowly, peel the foam away, add black pepper and a bay leaf. When cooked, take the meat out and let it cool down. Strain the broth.
Chop all the vegetables. Add some oil to a pot and sauté the vegetables together with the paprika powder, dried grounded chili and salt.
Add red wine and broth and let it boil slowly for 3-4 hours.

Enjoy your hot & spicy soup!
