Bee Dazzled

Friday, March 15, 2013

Read an article (US Elle) about bees and
eco-friendly beauty brand Burt's Bees.

Home-grown honey has become popular and urban beekeeping has taken off in big cities like New York.

Those who like their honey truly haute can try to score
a jar of Louis Vuitton's La Belle Jardiniere,
harvested on the rooftop of the label's
Champs-Elysees headquarters.
Note, it's distributed only to friends and family of the house, so good luck!

In the search for wrinkle-smoothing, collagen-building,
acne-fighting, super powered skin saviours,
the latest buzz is all about bees.

Aesthetician Deborah Mitchell gave a bee-venom-laced facial to Kate Middleton prior to the royal wedding.
Her client list also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham, Kylie Minogue and Camilla Parker Bowles.
So as i needed some facial wipes and an easy-to-carry eye cream,
I chose Burt's Bees.
I don't like the smell of honey and luckily there's no honey scent in these products, but a fresh and pleasant flavour.
The towelettes cleans the face pretty well and
leaves it soft and moisturised.
The eye cream absorbs easily and  can be used under the make up.
Nice products!
