Villa Vizcaya is said to be the grandest residence in Florida.
It was completed in 1916 as the winter residence
for millionaire James Deering.
In 1952 Villa Vizcaya was bought by Dade County
and it was turn to a museum.
The house includes Italian Renaissance living room,
Rococo music room, Empire bathroom, Chinese breakfast room, Neoclassical library, French reception room...
Taking pics inside is not allowed.
Orchid Garden.
The huge gardens around the house are amazing.
Villa Vizcaya's gardens are a perfect setting
for portrait photos.
Swimming pool grotto.
The ancient Roman style pool extends under the house and resembles a natural cave.
Stone barge.
Very Venetian.
Not only formal gardens but also tropical Floridian ones.
Absolutely worth visiting while in Miami.
