The Bass Museum was founded in 1963

from a private donation by Austrian origin art collectors
John and Johanna Bass,
and occupies the 1930s Miami Beach Public Library and Art Center.

Eija-Liisa Ahtila's video installation "The Annunciation"
 Mythological paintings by Ged Quinn.

The collection includes a stunning altarpiece by Italian Renaissance masters Sandro Botticelli and Domenico Ghirlandalo.
