Had dinner at Jamie's Italian in Islington
Sweet mini chilly peppers
stuffed with tuna, capers and anchovies
- ok, the chillys were just out of the fridge
Fish baked in a bag
West Country fish of the day
with clams, mussels, fennel, chilli, anchovies
and Sicilian cracked wheat
- fish was good, probably cod
- a bit more sauce would've been great
instead of plenty of wheat
Finished the meal with
vanilla ice-cream and butterscotch sauce
- quite ordinary but delicious
Even though the waitress was not really a professional
she was very service-minded, helpful, kind and natural
- the kitchen was a bit slow
Jamie's Italian in Islington

The bar of Jamie's Italian in Islington
" I should have been Italian.
There's such a diversity in
lifestyles, cooking, traditions
and dialects.
This is why as a chef
I find this country so exciting
and what inspired me to create Jamie's Italian."
