 Lilacs are so beautiful!
And the fragrance is absolutely gorgeous!
- it's a pity the season is so short!
Syringa (Lilac) is a genus of about 20–25 species
of flowering woody plants
in the olive family,
native to woodland and scrub
from southeastern Europe to eastern Asia.

Lilacs symbolize love.
In Greece, Lebanon, and Cyprus,
the lilac is strongly associated with Eastertime
because it flowers around that time;
it is consequently called paschalia.
A pale purple colour is generally known as lilac after the flower.
