Man-O-War Cay

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

Papaya is growing in a tree like this
- did't know it but learnt it in Man-O-War
Quiet streets of Man-O-War
- not very touristic,
more permanent residental homes
.
Xmas tree in Joe's Studio gift shop
.
Nice road leading to the beach
.
Dock & Dine opened at the marina in 2008
- Man-O-War is so called dry island
meaning no alcoholic beverages are sold there
- not even in the restaurants
.
Had lunch at Dock & Dine
- conch fritters, cole slaw, french fries,
diet coke...
- perfect!

Man-O-War has been the centre for boat building
and repair for many years.
- nowadays the boats are made of fiberglass

Mangroves
.
Went also to Marsh Harbour to do some
grocery shopping at Maxwell's
before hitting back to Elbow Cay
Oh, the tide is really low back
at White Sound, Elbow Cay!
.
Steve's private dock in White Sound
.
Not wondering any more why
people are putting their boats up
- the tides are pretty heavy here!
