Here're some of the dinners
that had in Helsinki
last weekend
.
Had "Menu Maison"
at Magne Sud
(= "eat the south" - a bit funny!)
- started with a glass of champagne:
Janisson Carte Blanche
Delicious!
.

Continued with rosé wine
Chateau Minuty Moments, France
(Grenache, Tibouren, Cinsault)
- excellent rosé!

Beef carpaccio
- very nice, thin slices
. Sea Bass Ligurian way
- don't know what made it Ligurian
but anyway the fish was very good
. Chocolate mousse
- rich taste, perfect texture
- the nuts, raisins etc made it a bit too heavy
(not a small portion!)
.Nice Mediterranean restaurant,
good, friendly service,
fresh, rather timeless interior.

Fresh orchids on the tables
- big plus!

Had a snack there:
Reindeer sandwich & pistacchio macaron
with a cup of tea
- excellent snack!
- nice quiet place at the hectic 8. floor of Stockmann
with a very nice service!

Seaweed rolls at Korea House
- almost like sushi
- very tasty rolls filled with rice, vegetables and tuna

Bulgogi set for 2
as the main course
- specially marinated thin sliced beef

Kimchi 김치 is a traditional fermented Korean dish,
made of vegetables with varied seasonings.
Kimchi may also refer to unfermented vegetable dishes.
There are hundreds of varieties of kimchi,
made with a main vegetable ingredient such as
napa cabbage, radish, green onion or cucumber.
Kimchi is the most common banchan,
or side dish, in Korean cuisine.
Kimchi is also a main ingredient for many popular Korean dishes
such as kimchi stew 김치찌개;
kimchi soup 김칫국;
and kimchi fried rice 김치볶음밥

seasoned with hot chili
- the chili was on a separate bowl
and you could add them on the pan
as you liked

Never had Korean meal before
- liked it a lot!

Toast Skagen with roe on top
- fantastic!
.
Glow fried lavaret with shrimp sauce
- fabulous,
but next time will ask it without the risotto & spinach,
too much

Baked rhubarb with vanilla ice cream
- good, nothing special,
but quite Finnish
.

- marvellous!
The restaurant is located in tha terminal
where the national flighs used to depart
- don't remember the name of the restaurant,
SSP Season perhaps???
