Arrived to Helsinki around 7.30pm on Tuesday
Had booked a room at a new hotel called Haven

Legend has it that when Captain Salomon Sundman
returned from his gruelling voyage
around the Oceans of the world,
finally sailing into his home port of Helsinki
and setting foot on the Market square, he sighed:
"O my refuge, my haven, my harbour!"
.
Got Lux room 803
Bang&Olufsen tv & music system
.
There are 4 categories of room:
Comfort
Style
Lux
Harmonious greyish beige colours
good solution,
& Elemis products
- spa feeling!
and Finlan's first member of
The Small Luxury Hotels of the World chain.
The hotel has 77 rooms
each equipped to boasting king size beds & luxurious bathrooms.
The guests can also use the Day Spa, gym, restaurant
has a view of Market square and Katajanokka
Big minus to the hotel:
Big minus to the hotel:
cannot open the windows,
not even a tiny bit to get fresh air into the room!
- the explanation was that the hotel's insuarance
doesn't cover the accidents which might occure of an open window
- found it a bit poor explanation,
night before could open the window of
Radisson Sas Royal's room 809,
also on 8th floor,
and every time in New York
even if the room's been over 20th floor!
- not necessary to allow to open it wide
- had to have the air-conditioning on to get some air circulation to the room,
